Born in a coulee and forged from a socially minded squeezebox duo, Elsa charted her course in life around music. Her travelogue life exposed her to the roots of small town amerian regions formed from the driftless, poorly sorted and cobble-rich regions of Wisconsin. Exchanging ideas and lyrics with her surroundings, Elsa first began crafting her trade with fellow high school jazz band members, flickers of deciduous light-beams, and shadows of late-night lava lamps. Sharing stages with her closest confidants during the pre-teen years, Elsa gathered her seeds and extended her roots into the creeping snowberry slopes, Zambezi aquifers and cottonwood corridors of the world. After collecting her thoughts and planting her future, Elsa reunited with longtime friends to assemble life’s rhythms.

New album by rivulare
Scratching field tracks on the sunny side of the Portage canal in Hancock, MI, rivulare formed from the embers of a hard-wood heated company house steeped in late 1800’s Keweenaw copper-country ballads. Echos of these porch sessions began to take form at April Base recording studio as her glacial comrades laid down articulate beats for their Marquette Supergroup kinfolk. Sonic landscapes welded by wilderness emerged from life’s social fabric, and the shade-tolerant rivulare species shot up into the canopy to call out to their fellow woodland creatures. Rivulare’s universe is now expanding as they embark on an intrepid journey comfortably nestled within the confines of their subterranean laboratory. Canadian wild rye grasses now tremble in Gitchigumi’s wake as rivulare gathers their strength alongside nipissing’s shore.
